Question about Beta Branch

if i make a new game on the beta branch, will it stay on that branch or will they merge together when the official update happens?

I'm not sure if this helps, but in other games when I've played the beta, the game did not merge together with the official patch.

so i would have to always use the beta branch forever you think?

yes and no that new game will forever be soft-lock on the beta. you can still load it but theres chance of save corruption or despawning of models and objects. that arent present or have been overwritten in the beta branch, when u switch back to the main branch. i know this cause i just had to back up a 10 day save. which got toasted when switching back to main branch. as for merging its temporary once the beta has an update again theres another chance of save corruption when switching branches.

and all i wanted was a gold bar.......

as for multiplayer im assuming beta and main can play together only as long as they have the same Client/update I.D which wont last long since beta usually get hotfixes that can change that.
