Game stuttering and freezing
Hi readers,

I don't know if I am the only one facing this problem, but out of nowhere my game has started stuttering and freezing. It has become pretty much unplayable at this point. I had no issues the last two/three days at all.

Now I have a full setup of two types of drugs in the barn with a full employee base, and I was starting to think that may be the problem. I tried having them not work (aka no supplies), but that still gave me some stuttering here and there.

I have no clue how to fix it, since I can barely play the game at this point.
Does anyone know a fix or are people at least facing the same issue as I am?

I am having the same type of problem my game keeps stuttering too :/. My game was also fine the first couple of days but now it just keeps stuttering forward but it says my frames never drop or anything like that...
I started having this problem today, I played last night for a long while with a friend and didnt have this problem once. Not sure what changed.

I have a stuttering issue while there are jars in the Tier 1 Packaging Station and while it is in front of the sliding glass door of the Bungalow. This is even at low settings on a very modern PC.
also have been playing for a week with no issues until today. constant stuttering no matter if im moving or not. not sure the cause. havent added any new employees in the last few days
Someone else postet this in another discussion and it helped me so i repost it here:

"How to fix Lag/Stuttering
So after a while your game starts to lag. The cause of this is all the trash in the world and how it is stored in the files. It just builds up because the "trash generators" don't know when to stop.

For this part it does not matter what drive your game is on it just puts this data in this location no matter what.
To remove the trash go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\YOURSAVESUMBER\SaveGame_1\Trash

Click Trash.json and keep this part below and delete everything else. (For future reference change the game version.)

{
"DataType": "TrashData",
"DataVersion": 0,
"GameVersion": "0.3.3f13",
"Items": [
{

After this your game will still stutter for just a few minutes while it spawns some of the trash back in as you play but after 10 minutes or so the game will smooth itself out again.

OTHER FIXES
Turn off V sync and limit your fps to a normal amount
Run the game as an administrator

Hope this helps you!"

It does seem like it. Or they're causing some kind of bloat on the game. I did have 4 at the barn on my save and it would stutter like hell, the issue has immediately gone away since firing them.

This worked for me. took about 15 minutes to smooth out

same, started after the beta release for the pawn system. likely a bit of a common bug at the moment.
I removed soil dispensers and sprinklers from pots tended to by botanists, and stutters dropped bigtime.

You can enable console in the in-game settings menu, and there is a "cleartrash" command that does the same. Do this instead
The problem , for me atleast , it was related to the botanist. The shelf that they were suposed to deliver stuff from , had no seeds. My guess is that they kept running the command every 2 seconds ( To move ♥♥♥♥ from A to B ) but there was nothing to move. After restocking the shelves with Soil and Seeds , the stutters dissapeared. So yes. The problem was from the botanists 100 %

am pretty sure these are employee AI ticks, try to reduce the number of things in the places where you have high employee count and stop paying them when they have nothing to do to reduce the number of employees constantly iterating through your barn. x_x

Think I figured it out. It wasn’t the trash. As I had deleted it earlier. The issue happens when the botanists run out of seeds. It causes massive lag the more botanists you have. Resupplying them fixes the stutters.

This guy is right. I just tested it and had the same issue with two botanists in the barn. As soon as I added more seeds to their supply rack, the game stopped stuttering. I was getting stutters every second or so, with the framerate dropping from 80 FPS to 70 FPS. I've already reported it, but if you're dealing with the same issue, try this fix while we wait for TVGS to patch it.
I was having the same problem until I realized whenever my cleaner started working, it would stop stuttering. and when he stopped working it would start back up.
Fired the worker and my game is great again
