4am - Prep / cook / grow timers
I like the ability to prepare my harvest/meth well into the night but one thing that I am wondering:
1. Why have mix, grow, timers go normal speed at 4am and not maybe 10x speed? NPCs don't work, so literally just waiting around, unless this is intentional to inconvenience you into buying more stations/residences/sleep/etc...
2. Why allow the timers to progress at 4am at all? I understand this would make the game harder in a sense forcing you to do your work during valuable sell time etc.
3. Open for discussion? What other way should I look at this?

I know there's mods, but I typically don't like to use them until I 100% a game.

I don't think it is intended for you to cook and grow drugs indefinitely at 4am. I think the point is that you have a chance to finish off a batch or two of drugs before proceeding to the next day. Employees stop working at 4am as well.

Yeah I'm guessing this will eventually go away. It makes the game way too easy. Just like NPCs staying there forever at 4am, allowing you to do all your deals with curfew bonus, obviously this is not intended.

I kind of think it is intended. You still have the risk of losing the product from an arrest by the cops at night, so that's the trade off. It's not meant to be an incredibly difficult game. At the end of the day, it's a 3D idle game. You buy new stations, setup more profitable products when you get more money, then wait for it to produce. Just like a mobile idle game, except 3D. That's not a bad thing. I personally love it. It's chill, easy, looks graphically good, and has an addictive game play loop.

I personally don't think there's enough time in the day especially as solo.. I also think this is intended game-play. They definitely need to fix the laundering timer for sure. The mixer and that stuff like preparing stuff and buying stuff at the gas station is 100% cool.

its not very efficient to do anything beyond 4am. you want your dealers to sell product and you dont do that after 4am and your product will fill your storage more quickly than your dealers will sell. i would recommend keeping the clock running for more efficiency and more income.
To the OP. I am doing a test on the game.

It's only Day 3 and I have the Barn and a meth operation running. At 4 am I can keep selling and making meth. Forever.

I legit could max level on Day 3 selling crap meth to the starter customers.

4 am needs a little fix

Dont NPCs only buy your products once a day ?

The 4AM dark hours is good as it is imo. Its a way for you to catch up and have a breather.

The current mechanic where plants dont grow past 4AM, Employees stopped working at, NPC's only buy products once a day (even with dealers), weekly deposit limits, etc etc is to encourage you to sleep and advance to the next day.

Youre still able to do work at your own leisure. Mixing, buying ingredients, complete deals, reorganize your workstations, all of those eventually run out with the above mechanics. Once you're 'caught up' and had nothing to do, you'll sleep.

Thats why I think the game is great ! its not work to play, its fun to play !
I think this is currently a bit of a exploit and that in the future updates it will be patched out so you can't sell or make stuff at 4am anymore.
Plants stop growing after 4am, so plant related products such as coke and marijuana cannot be created in addition to what you already have. In case of meth you can continue since you are allowed to buy the 3 related products in the late nigth, but the game is about advanced mixes and effects and getting the most profit of each unit, and doing that without the employees is too tedious, in my case I have to make 8 mixes for each batch, so I prefer to move to the next day and have the employees help.
