One of my dealers randomly attacked me. Bug or feature?
It was an ordinary day in Hyland Point. I was going to give Molly some bricks for her to distribute, but when I approached her she started chasing me with her switchblade. My heart sank when I had to put two rounds in her and send her to the hospital. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a bug, or is this an intended feature and how do I prevent it?

That's true, perhaps I aimed my gun by accident and triggered it somehow. Except I was near the next to the west gas mart and Molly was at the motel. Perhaps it's a bug, who knows. I'm just glad NPCs don't have permadeath.

i know customers will attack you if they dont like your price..they have to be addicted, they come find you and ask for drugs, if u dont satisfy them they will attack you.
This happened to me and I don’t even have weapons. And it was molly for me too.

It happened to me but in the new update, it seems that when the dealers are hurt and you're in close proximity they blame it on you. As for her hurting herself she bugged inside the car in the skatepark (screenshot in my profile) and then surprised me when she pulled her knife out.

Same thing happened to me, and it was right near the skate park so must have been the same cause.

People you're selling to also sometimes attack you if you don't give them the full amount or they don't like the quality. I had the guy who looks like Trevor stab me because I sold him low quality meth.

I click too fast between collecting and restocking them and I always punch them in the face. Just hide like you would from cops, they'll calm down.
I've had this happen! The game thought I still had my gun equipped when I was holding my skateboard, so I switch items a few times and it went away.

If you have an empty slot, you can punch / charge it to hit harder.
Just had this today, however i have to add that on the Demo sample before i bought main game, i moved one of turned over wheelchair at basketball court, and not intending to block the path i put to the side, just by pure luck a random guy walking on the court started tangling with the wheelchair and then falls & proceeds to call cops on me.. So if you moved a basketball, trashcan, wheelchair (or any other item of similar type/properties), if an NPC or your dealers trip over it, or just get a trigger from the item > YOU are responsible for it.. So either attack or the cops get called.
Curious if anyone can try and recreate similar situations and what happens.

The drug dealer got addicted by what he's is trying to sell and became a monster xD
Typical story.
