I made some tweaks to it though:
I gotta say, as someone with arthritis, while I look forward to the day it has full support, I'm just happy I found a way to make it playable now so that I do not have to wait. The 4+ hours I spent with the demo were great, and I plan to get the full game in the near future.
Once I'm fairly certain my layout will work for everything, I plan to share that layout with the community so anyone can download and use it.
I want people to stfu. This is an early access title ON PC ONLY so play it with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse or buy a console
And the answer to that is NOT to buy a console. Consoles are financially foolish; you overpay for the hardware to begin with and then you rarely ever see games for 80+% off. Sure you pay more in the start for a PC but you make it up easily in what you save upgrading each generation and in game sales..
Also people with arthritis so bad that they struggle to use keyboard and mouse for long, are likely on a fixed income such as Disability. Such people are already struggling with money to begin with, and you think the answer to that is to make financially stupid decisions?
I've heard critical thinking skills are on the decline, so consider me doing all of this critical thinking for you a free lesson. I hope this helps you think critically in the future.
There's been a handful of times where my layouts were better than the official support for a game, just because I like to use shifts and modifiers to add extra buttons, similar to FFXIV's official support.
In fact, this game might end up being one of them because my setup you can press any key between 1 and 8 instantly and still have all the other functions; something tells me this will not be present in the official support.
As for making your own profiles, you just gotta take the time and play with the sliders and such. I've been going hard with it since 2016 when Steam got Dualshock 4 support, and it's rare that 6 months goes by without me making a profile for some game or another. (I lowkey miss the old Big Picture UI because certain actions were much easier) It takes a long ass time at first, but as you get used to it you get faster and start to develop your own style for mappings. (are you an A button jumper or Y button? Do you like your map/journal on Share/Select/Menu/Minus or on a d-pad?)
If you want, I can upload my profile from the demo, but I haven't tested it on vehicles or guns yet and haven't tried any of the minigames beyond the weed ones, so I can't promise you can play the entire game with it, but I can promise you can play a lot of it with it for sure.
I KNOW THIS IS LONGER THAN YOUR AVERAGE TIKTOK BUT KEEP READING TO LEARN WHY YOUR SUGGESTION IS STUPID
Were you dropped on your head as a child or do you enjoy looking like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot? As they put it, you clearly have no critical thinking skills, and now you've demonstrated you have no reading skills either and no skills planning things financially. By all means, please continue to embarrass yourself and demonstrate your education is poor. It will stay in your post history and warn others you are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron.
First off, I once made a profile for a Early Access game that inspired the devs for how they want to setup their controller mappings.

During early development is EXACTLY when you should ask for this stuff.
Second, I didn't ask for the support I'm responding to the guy who did.
Third, many people have asked for it and IT'S ALREADY ON THE ROADMAP. (I said this in my first sentence of my second reply to the thread)
You should read more of a thread before responding. You're literally wasting your energy only to be wrong. You think videogames shouldn't be taken for granted but here you are wasting energy typing things that you could have saved yourself from if you just read.
It's 29 lines, the bible is 31,102. The comparison doesn't fit. Exaggerate much?
Spending more time reading not only would you save time typing pointless replies that aren't thought through, but you would actually get smarter.
Anyway, I'm gonna block you before I forget; I'd rather not see the posts of people who are too lazy to read a paragraph. They never have anything useful to contribute to the conversations and waste everyone's time. (It's nothing personal, I also block people who use the word "woke" incorrectly, or express bigoted beliefs like ableism or homophobia, or make everything political. All of the above are a waste of server space but I can at least reduce the amount of my screenspace they take up)
The last reply that mattered was #7
im guessing you didnt read the part where i got bad arthritis and cant play the game without being in pain...also, most modern titles have controller support, so why not have controller support as one of your main things for a new game? it reeks of laziness...
