Make sure to schedule the player sales for after curfew to get 20% extra $, and earn increased exp.
Until you can afford to higher people and get some "automation" going it's worth at least splitting it 50/50. Dealers take a cut (20% on Benji, Molly and Brad so far) so you'll lose some profit but at the benefit of still being able to produce product.
I've noticed I can give the same amount of a product to 2 dealers and they will both sell out and have different amounts so I think the dealers also will try to sell at what you have it set to, but will also negotiate down to sell the product.
See my post above, I've experienced sometimes the dealers making more than me when selling same amount or more than another dealer selling the same amount and product, guess they try to talk them up or down.
Another tip is to make use of night time. the day wont naturally roll over if you don't go to bed so you can actually spend a bunch of time making product before going to bed if you are low and will not have enough to sell the next day.
