Actually I think it's better to hope that the Dev updates for more players later.

That mod is already not functional outside of the alternate version. And it requires ever player to install it.

And when games updates, mods break, so it will be an endless cycle of waiting for the mod to get fixed.

So I withdraw the suggestion.
