Is there a point to buying a cleaner?

Is there a game play reason to wasting an employee slot on the cleaner? I"m not worried about how things looks, so much as min-maxing my very limited number of employee slots. I'd rather spend that slot on a handler, that just buffers items so I can spend less time integrating deliveries.

you dont need cleaner, u can type into console "cleartrash" and thats it
