I noticed this happen with my hauler when he got stuck hauling items from backup supply to supply shelf for botanist because the shelves where facing as you would expect them to be facing lengthwise side by side along the wall but I had to turn them 90 degrees so they access them from the end of the shelves rather than the middle basically this allows them to stand on the spot without having to move to be able to access both their pickup location and their drop off location,
This same bug happens when NPC get stuck not going through their house door when you talk to them. If you push the NPC into position you can fix the bug.
I suspect if you push teh scientist onto position it will fix it but you might not be able to move them so jsut position the work stations so she has better working angles for both.
For eg you should sandwich the worker between both stations so they dont have to move to access both they just turn from one spot to the other and will always be in the correct position for both stations.
Bugs I've run into: Workers getting their pathing stuck until you do a restart. Botanists not drying products on drying racks until it's completely full, thus bottlenecking production. Chemists assigned to Cauldrons can cause the Cauldrons to no longer become interacted with and they won't use it themselves. (Same bug can happen to Drying Racks and Botanists) Cleaners not cleaning until you pick up the trash can and place it down again, then re-assign them. Meanwhile, Handlers have been known to steal product if they're currently moving it when the work day ends.
Otherwise best you can do is try to make their pathing as easy as possible with placement and work routing so they can walk from one station to the next without getting bugged.
