I do think it's something of an issue that it takes longer to mix / create a high quality product- but for the amount of time it takes to do so, you're not making any more money / gaining any more experience than you would if you were just selling large amounts of baseline product in the same time-frame. Lol
I would like to see more reward for time spent on creating these intricate recipes, especially considering how in-depth it can get.
Its not, its for coca leaves.
Here is a video for 8 step mix operation.

Be forewarned, if you do this, you will literally be spending all your time ordering mats to restock the shelves. It isn't fun.
I would recommend using this setup but with 2 lines of 4 steps. Easier to sell and much easier to maintain.
Alternatively, make 1 building a mass production facility with huge reserves using just gardeners/chemists and handlers to transport and stamp into bricks, then drive stacks of bricks to another location and use chemists and handlers to make your finished product.
It's a shame, because creating / naming your own strains is an absolute blast- but it's not worth purposely cutting your progression in half.
Hopefully the developer finds a good solution to this- either buffing the Money/EXP earnings from selling customized goods, or by lowering the time it takes to mix / raising the amount you can mix at a time.
Yea, the complicated mixes aren't worth it, in my opinion. I stopped mixing for the most part and just mass produce HQ bricks of whatever. Then I use the bungalo to do a 4 step, but I still have to unpack them. So, there is room to make improvements, but when youre at that stage of the game, its over anyway and youre just grinding for money for the future updates.
Early/mid game is peak. Endgame needs some work, but it will come over time
