"Indian Giver" achievement is a bit insentive
Absolutely loving the game, however this achievement, it's name just doesn't sit right. It's neither historically appropriate, and honestly, is quite insulting to any first nation people.

Can we call it 'Doublecrosser' or something similar that doesn't have negative implications for the indigenous groups?

I do love the game, but I'd love it if we can get rid of the stereotype here.

Do you also think the Ts should be upset about the “jennerising” effect changing genders? Should people be upset about tropic thunder changing skin color?

Nah, nobody cares.
Everything in this game is stereotype I guess.

I had a discussion with someone in a live chat who thought the tropic thunder effect was offensive and it was hilarious.
Just report the topic creator and the post they made, and it’s as easy as that to get rid of them.

Oh hell no. cos that ♥♥♥♥'s funny, and is entirely on context with a light-hearted game that makes 'jest' at things! The way that jennerising and tropic thunder 'change' people doesn't assert any sort of political statement, and while some might argue there is one, the overall intention is humour.

The issue with the whole 'indian dealer' thing is that it's never not been an insult. 'Indian giver' has never been used in jest, or in humour, and is implying a stereotype that's actually wrong!

Probably no one cares, I get it's not an intended insult by the dev, and he means no harm in the statement, and I still love the game.

But sometimes, the very least we can do as human being is try to forget using slurs that have nothing but negative connotations.

But I totally get that it was never anything but accidental usage.

it wasnt accidental, and it wont be changing just because some people are upset about it. Tyler doesnt care about woke stuff.

with this game dealing hard with drugs, crime, and violence...the name certainly fits. Sometimes you have to see the world for what it is, and not dwell on it.
Its amazing that i did not know that the term was somewhat insulting, until now.

yes, its an outdated and expired term. that is just fact, not opinion.

Aussie dev means nothing, especially as an excuse for anything.

White people calling other white people white is pure fellatio.

no need for excuses, as the dev can call stuff whatever they like and wont be apologizing.

people will get over it.
