Worker (Chemist) not taking money

So i hired my first chemist and the tutorial quest started, saying i have to assign a bed and place cash in the suitcase. But if i do so, the quest doesn't get completed and the chemist isn't taking the money. If i talk to him he just says i didn't pay him today.

I already tried moving his bed and making room for him to access it but it just isn't working. Anyone having tips?

Update: I figured out what caused the problem. Since it was 4 am, the worker wasn't able to move. I slept and everythign worked lmao.

Same regarding plants, they do not grow, if it's 4 am.
