gotta have a good eye for when a game is only fun with the homies before you buy
unfortunately i play with the homies and their progress gets wiped
Currently I am just grinding to buy everything for when the game inevitably becomes harder and more complex.
Personally think it is incredibly overhyped at the moment on social media platforms and such. Game gets stale fairly quickly,
Issue with a single developer is that content updates are gonna take a lot more time, as well as being poorly executed with slow fixes. These are the type of games that gotta end up being relied on its own community regarding patches and content related mods.
Clearly the developer has struck gold because of this. Since it's fairly expensive for a game of this quality; hopefully this person decided to invest further into game development and this game specifically with the funds he has now.
Are you gonna cry about this on everything you post on? Early Access is for testing, updating, and squashing bugs. If your trying to just "buy a game to play with the homies", stick to fully released games, not EA, because clearly you can't handle it.
And considering the "lost saves" thing has been known about since day 1, if you didn't back-up your data, it's 100% on you. Cry harder.
There isn't that much progress to be made regardless.
So it's not like you're losing much.
Especially now that that y'all have ''experience'' and hopefully know what delivers the most $$$ early on. It's a lot easier to reach that same state that y'all lost your progress of.
boring
That's a huge assumption. Stardew Valley was 1 guy and he did a fantastic job putting out updates and fixing bugs in a timely manner.
The dev is super active in the discord, there was a bugfix update today, and he already has a content update in the works. I think this guy is gonna do just fine.
IMO, it's not over-hyped, there are just a lot of people playing it, and regardless of what platform you get on (reddit, tiktok, youtube, instagram, etc.) You can't NOT see it. It's popular and well liked. Over-hyped is when a company pays more money and time into marketing than they do the actual game, then it comes out and is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is "advertised" by people who just like the game, and there are A LOT.

#1 Top selling, #5 Top played. 1:30am Eastern time and ~206k people are playing it. 0
You are so based it hurts, spitting nothing but facts
I just think it's super hyper repetitive and almost feels like Cookie Clicker in which it's a massive grind with little to no payoff. I mean, once you unlock warehouse to buy employees, that's just the grandma equivalent in cookie clicker
