There are 3 types with the first type having 4 strands. There's the green, the crystal, and the sugar. I'm being vague so auto moderator doesn't throw a fit and this can get through.
On top of those, you have the ability to mix items into them to create new strains or creations. There are multiple items that add effects(I think 15ish) and then you can mix the new strain again. The person who made the mixing simulator said they estimated somewhere around 10.2 Million different combinations through the whole process.
I have about 10 hours in this game. This game is not fleshed out just yet but has the potential to be better than DDS 1 if the dev keeps on it. (single dev will be a long road)
Some things like mixing are more realistic and make more sense in DDS 1.
The co-op in this game is top notch and what I really love. My 2 friends and I are having a blast.
