What's the reason for time stopping at 4am?
It looks like that opens up alot of exploits to make the game easier and I don't really see the reason for it.
If the game needs you to sleep to process something it just could make you fade at some point for a few hours if you don't sleep.
So maybe somone knows the reason it works the way it does?

Just curious.

It just gives you time to catch up on things, because the time of day in this game is crazy fast unless you use a mod to make the time of last longer then like I do know then time stopping at 4am means nothing anymore.
This is to allow you full freedom to produce and sell as much as you are willing to.

You can cook and order deliveries for meth until you have enough product to sell so you are not forced to meet a deadline before the day ends.

this takes away all stress and pressure on the player that you might have had if you didnt know this.

This allows you to play fully at your own pace, you can do whatever you want and still be able to produce however much product you want and then you can go door to door and sell it all to every customer. You can also continue to wait until the timer on the customer resets and sell to them again.

This does cap out buy the fact that you need money in the bank to buy the products to have delivered but if you have a money laundering place then you can go forever technically without ending the day as you can infinitely launder money to continue buying ingredients to cook into meth to then sell.

You can also do this with speed grow for plants but that is just a pain in the butt.

I honestly think this should be changed, it's way too easy to just do everything you missed at 4am

But isn't time management meant to be part of the game?
I mean nothing bad happens when you do these things the next day, even if you don't sell anything that day. So you could play at your own pace and catch up with things anyways with the added benefit that your dealers actively make money while you do it.

It invalidates so many things in the game.
The fact that you can make appointments for deals doesn't make much sense if the only sensible time to make these appointments is at night.
The mechanic that you have to be there on time makes no sense when time stops.
Mixing taking time makes no sense if time just stops.
Technically it doesn't even make sense to hire dealers when I have all the time in the world to deliver to however many customers I want while getting the curfew bonus.
And there is more.

One of the best tips for new players being "just to everything except harvesting at 4am and don't bother with 50% of the games pressure mechanics" doesn't seem right to me.

It is nice to have a moment the game pauses for multiplayer, but you could achive that by making the game wait for everyone to press a "wake up" button after sleep.

It's so weird how obsessed people are with affecting other people's experience. You know you don't have to stay awake after 4 am hits, right ? If you think it's too easy, go to sleep at 4 am. TADA.

So go to sleep at 4 am ? How are you guys actually turning this into an issue and taking yourself seriously simultaneously ?

I asked a question. It's ok if you don't know the answer.

People don't understand the concept of self restraint nowadays. Legit if they don't want to use the 4am time just... don't use it. But nope, gotta screw the rest of us over I guess.
At 4am all your workers stop working... that's plenty of incentive to go to sleep unless you don't have workers yet.

I like the idea of "working all night" producing things in the dark.
Not being pushed into the next day is nice.

Try running 3 properties producing mixed stuff, while restocking them and doing orders for customers at the same time. Just not possible.

Nobody said anything about changing anthing. At this point I was just asking for mechanical reasons why it is the way it is.
But be a victim if you need to i guess.

Sounds like the days should be a bit longer?
Or maybe the possibility to hire a resupplier would be nice.

Or, you could just end your day at 4 am and let everyone else enjoy it.

I agree, it should just make you faint at some point and not go on forever.

A better "fix" for this "issue" would be to change nothing leave the game as is but call it "easy" mode have a selection of game modes when you start a save and normal/hard mode would have different effects such as not being able to continue anything after 4.
