40-60 fps problem
I've been playing for over 40 hours on my solo save and every hour I have problems with fps

Currently 40 fps max 50-60, at the beginning of the game 144 fps without a problem

Any ideas?

It is rendering a rather large and detailed area with many NPC simulations in Unity Engine, so the performance is actually pretty good, all things considered. It will likely be optimized a lot better in the future though.

Maybe the trash system will get changed soon in a way that helps with the performance issues? I do wish there was some sort of "lore-friendly" way to permanently remove street trash in-game, like you have to pay off the garbage union 10k cash every month to keep it that way.

I read that trash on the map accumulate to a point it drop FPS.

When it comes to the waste I generate, I keep it clean, so waste from the street is out of the question because I don't think it's generated all the time if it is already there. ._.

its not a GPU problem but a CPU one. The game just release, polishing will come down the line but for now, polishing is not priority until they add more content.

I wish I could get a stable 60FPS in this game, I'm in the same boat as the OP the game gets around 45-55FPS at the very start of the game. It seems to not be anything to do with GPU as changing the resolution and settings makes almost no difference.

The game is also not using all of my CPU, it's using around 30-40% of each core (Ryzen 2700). Maybe it's just a Linux/Wine/Proton bug but it seems not to be using the CPU properly.
