Paying Employee Does Nothing

Paying my employee by putting the 200 cash inside the briefcase does nothing. Literally nothing. I even talked to the employee and they told me they hadn't been paid yet. It's happened two times back to back.

Thank you all for the responses. The 4am comments seem to be correct. Originally wasn't paying any attention at the times, but it happened again and it was 4am.
