the update broke the game for me too. the only thing that fixed my lag is clearing out the trash. after the lag was gone, there was still a stutter, and i fixed the stutter by firing all of my workers and picking up all of my pots (botanists are bugged from the update and it's causing stutters, but we're not sure what other workers are bugged). i saved my game after that and I'm waiting for the next update.
make sure you back up your "saves" folder which is located in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\
because people's saves are getting wiped too (luckily this hasn't happened to me yet)
good luck
- It does a lot of unoptimized data access instead of chaching
- It accesses lots of data in "synchronous I/O" instead of "asynchronus I/O" (meaning it has to wait a lot)
- All while it accesses data that is quiet large
In short: At some point something reaches it limit and breaks the game, do your ingame bugreports people.
For example my save is so broken that it creates so many I/O that my 14900k runs at 60% for the game alone.
This is correct. I can run Ultra at 144 FPS, yet on some game saves where I progressed very far, I get 10 FPS on Low. Make a new game and it should fix it.
