game recommends 16gb ram and i have 16gb ram.
Before i buy the game, i just wanna know because the game recommends 16gb ram and i have 16gb ram will the game run smooth because even though i dont run anything in background theres some apps that automatically do so if anyone is in the same boat as me and has played the game while having the recommended ram would appreciate it if you let me know if its all gd to run.

the game is early access and is poorly optimized. To give you an idea, I have 64 gb of ram and sometime it's a bit laggy
Do you think id be okay running it at the recommended ram or not?
hi, on my side the game eats up to 10gb ram at "high" settings 4k60fps. U should good to go with 16gb ram. Btw there is a demo u can test out.

it depends what you mean by okay. As I said, many people report that when you get advanced in the game the frame drop is too intense. Ram is not everything. My system is a ryzen 9 7950x3d, 64 gb ram, 4 tb ssd and AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT. Even with all that it still lags from time to time.

The demo will not test what happen when you start automating stuff or when the amount of garbage on the floor is growing.

I mean would it crash my pc or whatever if i havent got enough ram for it. Guessing no matter how gd ur specs am it will still have abit of lag then. And are you still playing the game with it still has little bits of lag? Does it bother you?

it doesn't bother me because I know it's early access. If it was a fully released game I would be concerned. I don't think it would crash your pc , worst case you could loose all your progress, which can be frustrating but it's not the end of the world either.

null has a good point here, because of later game and other specs. So keep in mind that the demo dont show the late game.

I am still convinced the recommended specs are over inflated, i am running on a 6700k, 32gig ram and a GTX 1060, pretty much the bottom end of the min reqs aside for the RAM, and the game runs pretty much flawlessly for me in Single Player, theres some bugs in Multiplayer, but actual performance wise, i dont think i have seen much lag at all. Picking up trash helps with that a ton though, and I run around with a trash picker while waiting for deals to come in that arent already assigned to my dealers.

The recommended specs feel like a joke if anything. I'm running a 1050 (2gb VRAM) i5-8400, and 8gb of ram. Running on 60fps+ the majority of the time with no real spikes.
