Customer preferences
Okay so this needs to be adressed. I noticed that customers while having a number of preferences tend to go for drugs that only match one preference or NONE while you are sitting on a stack of drugs matching 2 of their preferences. Am I missing something? Because it seems the preferences only matters while hooking up a new customers.

People talk about grouping customers up to specific dealers and give the dealers drugs that matches those specific needs while I don't see a reason to do so as your customers will just buy a random drug. So when one is sold out you take it down and sell of the last stack.

It does make sense with addiction in a sense but should not customers favour the drug with that suits their needs?

i think products will sell quicker if they match their preference but I just make whatever, max out the attributes, to sell if for more. It'll all eventually sell. Same goes for acquiring new customers, its just a slot machine and if you put in enough quarters it'll pay out and gain a new customer. If you happen to have a strain the prefer you just don't have to try as many times to please them.

I consider everything in the game currently as placeholder. There is no sense of balance, rhyme or reason beyond surface level.

I'm sure it will be addressed over time. At least it should be and needs to.
Yea I go for spread effects and max profits.
Since they have a limited amout of money to spend each day you can end up with less money by the end of the day for expensive drugs. Cost 300 for a drug? They only have 500 max? Then they only buy 1 and you miss out on 200. But then again, they don't buy max anyway.

If I could add notes to the contacts/message app to get a feel of how much money they have, then I could ask for the MAX amount while giving them a bit extra drugs to make them say yes!
Just mass produce product with a bit low asking price to get the hook out, and then take their whole wallet!

Not possible as of now unfortunately.
What they want matters only when you're offering a free sample or trying to make a deal on the fly. They'll order whatever you're offering after that.

once the customer is 100% addicted ..they stop caring about their favorite traits.. even while you are trying to get them, they dont always care, I have got them with product that had none of their favorites, and some were more stubborn it took 1 or more traits to get them.. especially as you unlock "higher tier" areas, but eventually they all stop caring and want whatever product you have that they can afford
I dropped customers onto my dealers with no real reason.. I just gave them whoever was available as I went, customers that got hooked with Kush eventually rolled over to Meth when I stopped selling kush , It becomes more about what they can afford versus what they "like"

I do agree, I think that when we start out and we only have Kush, the customers that we hooked with that product should stay with that product.. maybe not all of them.. but most
Like If Joe down the street likes a little weed now and then and his dealer tells him.."sorry all i have is meth" Joe most likely isnt going to buy that, He will likely look for a new supplier, Not all weed smokers will ever roll over to a "harder" drug... so it makes no sense that we can cut them off and only offer them meth or coke and they say.. ok sure..
there should be a percentage that stops buying from us and we lose that customer for good if we dont keep supplying a weed product, this would make the game more time consuming and keep us from focusing on only 1 or 2 products or risk losing more and more customers who dont want to move to a different product just because thats all we offer

I wish it was more of a factor for the game play aspects of it. Jessi the meth addict just wants meth. Kyle the stoner only wants grass etc. There is no need at the moment to make more than 1 product when they just buy whatever you have
