It would be a shame both to the costumers and to the community.
Meanwhile the devs from drug dealer simulator must be fuming.
Hence why it truly would be a shame.
It's strange for a block buster game to just appear out of nowhere.
Maybe it's a secret Ubisoft title.
if it was a secret AAA shill company title in this day and age you know it wouldn't have succeeded
At this point with this happening so much steam needs to update policy for EA games again.
At least finish the product before bailing future development. With this much money in play for this dev I would argue jail time or fines if he just decided not to finish the game.
Yes this will become a real thing sometime, maybe not in the next 5 years but it damn well should be or we'll have people pulling a battlebit remaster and ghosting the community for years now on a promised roadmap update after they've made their millions.
Hopefully he doesnt hire a bunch of mouth breathers to suck him dry and stress him out further.
Im not worried about content so long as promises and the commitment is there.
Surroundead is an asset store game too but its also a single dev. Still to this day there is monthly news and sometimes weekly updates. No issue there.
Issue comes up when these small time devs start hiring more people and the game just becomes too much of a headache to manage over just working on it when you want and how you want.
If he did this much alone then all should be good alone steadily and slowly.
hopefully his passion sustains and he expands his studio to a 5 man team or something
