Temporal Storage Rack for Weed

i tried the following setup

1. grow weed in pots
2. store in storage rack
3. have another botanist assigned this rack as supply and assign him to drying racks

my expectation was that the storage rack can act as a temporal storage to store the harvestest weed and the 2nd botanist can use this storage to fill the drying racks.

sadly it didnt work out. the 2nd botanist only says that he has currently no job to do.

any suggestion or isnt this possible right now?

hire a handler and set up a route between the storage rack and drying rack. alternatively, you could also set the pot destinations to the drying rack, then the drying rack to a storage rack. For the second option I gave, the botanist should handle that route without needing a handler, but it can bottleneck because the drying rack takes a while and the plants grow faster than the drying rack can process.

Mine isn't working like that. My botanist puts the harvest on the drying racks, but doesn't activate the "Dry" option so the weed just sits there until I activate it myself. I also have to move the weed off the racks when it's done.

Figured it out! You need 2 botanists, 1 to work the pots and 1 to work the racks. Set the destination of the pots to the racks, and set the destination of the racks to storage. The botanist working the racks will automatically put them up to dry, whereas the one working the pots will only put the weed on the racks once it's harvested.
