It's interestingly designed that you have to get to know the area and the neighborhood, learn shortcuts, figure out where to turn to reach the client faster, and avoid police patrols during curfew.
I think it's fine the way it is now.
I know that feeling! My friends also have bad direction, and it was a nightmare for them when they had to keep pressing TAB to check the map for the client's location.
In the long run, having the option to turn the minimap on and off would be useful, but in such a small area, it's not really that necessary.
Map is fine the way it is .
