Why would they only be complaining about this one specific game? I play so many more intense games both gpu and cpu wise and I have never had this issue lmao such a silly response
Windows 11, I would have slowdown that would make the game unplayable. Turning off Windows Defender resolved the issue. If you're experiencing crashes, it wouldn't hurt to update your network adapter and video card drivers.
In Linux (specifically Gentoo) I had crashes every 15-20 minutes. My WiFi card (MT7922) was showing excess noise in the kernel log due to a bug with my drivers and WPA Supplicant. This was causing my network to drop sporadically, which crashed the game. The crashes seemed to occur more during saving, but that may be coincidental. Switching to IWD corrected the issue.
I have an i7-14700kf and the game constantly crashes. I am on Windows 11. Is there a way for me to convert to Windows 10?
If your PC freezes completely 10–15 minutes into game play, requiring a hard reboot, this workaround may help. Unity's engine overloads CPU cores and causes OS-level thread starvation.
This fix uses a tool called Process Lasso to limit how many CPU cores the game can use, helping prevent full system hangs.
Download Process Lasso & install the free version (Pro not required)
Launch Process Lasso
Start Schedule 1 via Steam, then Alt+Tab out
In Process Lasso: Find Schedule1.exe in the list (Tip: sort by CPU column to find it faster)
Right-click Schedule1.exe → CPU Affinity → Always → Select Cores
Choose 5–6 P-cores (the higher-performance ones), or any small group of physical cores (Avoid selecting all cores — that defeats the purpose)
The rule will automatically apply every time the game launches.
This has worked for me and I've no longer had any crashes since applying this fix. I hope it works for those whom have had similar issues to me.
*Does not fix the save game crash*
Let me know if this fixes it for you guys. I've not had a crash since doing the above.
