How to fix Lag/Stuttering

So after a while your game starts to lag. The cause of this is all the trash in the world and how it is stored in the files. It just builds up because the "trash generators" don't know when to stop.

For this part it does not matter what drive your game is on it just puts this data in this location no matter what.
To remove the trash go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\YOURSAVESUMBER\SaveGame_1\Trash

Click Trash.json and keep this part below and delete everything else. (For future reference change the game version.)

After this your game will still stutter for just a few minutes while it spawns some of the trash back in as you play but after 10 minutes or so the game will smooth itself out again.

OTHER FIXES
Turn off V sync and limit your fps to a normal amount
Run the game as an administrator

Same issue, game was fine until I decided to buy the barn and buy a bunch of workers. Now my game stutters hard and is no longer playable.

I also tested the current Beta version and Released and both are the same stuttery mess.

Hope he looks into the basket balls the just bounce nonstop when never touched them.
Sure that can't be helping things.

you could also just type cleartrash in the console or use an autoclear trash mod

The thing that worked for me is to run the game in fullscreen window mode. Exclusive fullscreen sends my system into shtutter ville, but putting it in fullscreen window runs smooth. WHich sounds backwards, but that;s apparently how this game was optimized.... (or not optimized yet more than likely)

any text editor you want. if afraid can always make a backup of your saves.

i have the same issue, i am completely clueless on what to do... i used the cleartrash command and deleted all the workers just like u, and the issue still appears, i am completely clueless on what to do :(

Try switching your weed/coke operation to meth. Each plant has a bunch of detail and particles that ♥♥♥♥ with performance.

I tried what the OP said, tried the 'cleartrash' command in the console, tried different graphical settings like suggested, but the game is still stuttering, especially when driving around. And in the first 10 or so hours it was running smooth.
Great game, but needs some optimization.

With all the mini changes that have happened in the updates since this post I’m not sure what to try anymore I was in over my head finding this fix. All I can think of at this point is it has to be something with workers and maybe items on shelves because the game doesn’t really stop rendering some things the games files do get very junked up with increasing playtime.

A little follow-up/update on the state of my game:

I fired all of my workers at the docks, and now my game isn't lagging anymore!
I don't know what caused it; if it was tied to the location, workers getting stuck, trash building up, or something else. I'm just glad I can play the game again.

Nope. Never been an issue here. 6 dealers, $2.5m game, everything owned and about 22 workers.

Wondering if is AMD/Unity issue. I am i7/12700 and 4070 Super.
