Botanist not working

The botanist says he doesn't have any soil to put in the pots but i have 60 soil in the storage he's connected to
i have tried multiple different storages and soils and he keeps saying he doesn't have any soil.
edit: in case anyone else comes that doesn't understand. the botanist does not recognize the assigned storage. it thinks it's empty. doesn't matter if it's soil or seeds. doesn't matter if i hire another, doesn't matter how many times i restart, doesn't matter how many different storage racks i assign. No doing it a cycle yourself does not fix it either

Botanists only plant seeds, use fertilizer/PGR/speed additives, water and harvest the plants. You have to re-soil the pots yourself. (Plus they operate drying racks later on)

That's why the long-term soil exists.

so i added soil myself and now they claim i don't have seeds.

Before Botanists get in to the "loop" of doing tasks, I found out that I had to do one "loop" myself.

By loop I mean pour soil > plant seed > add additives > water > harvest.

Once I did that, and I had soil, seeds and additives in the correct storage for Botanist, they started doing the loop and have been happy doing it for 5+ days now.

tried that. botanist won't cut the leaves. cut the leaves now botanist says i do not have seeds(used 3 plant soil)

pretty sure it just does not work.

also my chemist, cleaner and handler aren't doing anything either. they all say there is no work. i'm looking at trash next to the trashcan but apparantly there's nothing.
the cauldron has fuel and leafs but the chemist has no work apparantly

why even have employees if the whole system DOES NOT WORK!?|

also the game was extremely laggy until i fired the 4 workers.

My botanist refills soil all the time. Maybe it used to be like that, but they definitely can redo the soil now.

All employees are currently unresponsive—they either take items without working or freeze entirely. I’ve found a temporary fix: grab a skateboard and jump into the worker. This seems to reset them and get things moving again. It’s not a permanent solution, but it helps. If the issue reoccurs, just repeat the process.

I believe the employees just get bugged sometimes. I have my chemists not continue the mixing process after like the third mixer and they just freeze and stare at it. Although my botanists haven't had any issues at all and my supply storage for them contains soil and seeds.
