Jars are definitely more cost effective and should be used to supply your dealers.
HUGE tip that people above aren't mentioning is that if you give jars to a dealer, they will automatically place the product into a baggy when they're out selling to customers. So instead of you packing 60 product into baggies, you can instead give them 7 jars and they'll do that ♥♥♥♥ themselves. When you unlock a brick press and start making bricks of meth/coke you can do the same thing.
