Soil & water dispensors while having a botanist?

So I am set up in the bungalow. I have 8 air pots, each with the best lights and each pot has a soil and a water dispenser. My main question is, is there any point in me hiring a botanist? I did just to see and he was watering with a can. Will they not use the dispensers?
