Add in-game text chat??
Ease of access for players who don't use VC, i think this could be a really solid addition!

it would be nice too for as a way to chat in game without voice chat being added yet

So there's presently no way at all to communicate ingame? That's insane.

I'd heard there was no voice chat yet, but figured it had text chat at least.

Yeah isn’t as of right now, I play it with my buddy from across the country and we don’t use VC, so whenever I play I usually just keep steam messages on my phone so I can talk thru there

Create a group chat for your friends and use the steam voice call feature.
It's what we do as a family from all over.

Could even just put it as a feature on your phone, PMs and group chats with other players

My friend and I just use steam chat overlay. Shift + Tab, select your friend and right click > send message. You,only have to do that the first time, it keeps the chat window open when
you shift + tab going forward. Also, keep windows notifications enabled to you can see them message you. Works just like an in game chat, just a bit inconvenienced.
