Customer Preference, pointless?
What is it for? I thought maybe to GET customers, but I just gave a sample to someone that had ALL of their desires, and it was a premium quality. Still only a 78% chance (and failed anyway) of impressing? Why even bother going through the trouble of catering to their wants if it seems to make ZERO difference?

I believe this is an aspect of the game yet to be fully fleshed out. this game has all the bones laid out and just enough meat to make it very fun, but if you look at his roadmap he has a ton of ideas and mechanisms yet to be added.

78% is pretty good. 1% to miss 3 times.

It could be that some potential customers are naturally more resistant to start doing drugs. Who knows. Maybe it was a 22% with just blank product?

Feels like it only matters really when you first need to unlock them as a customer at the moment. After that can just sell whatever...

That's part of my issue with it, so i went through the trouble of creating a single persons strain that had everything they want and they still said no....

granted i did the same for someone else and i landed with a 110% chance so i think what Malogoss said is true.

It is insane how addicting it is with what's here... i'm excited to see where it goes, i should peek at the road map.

When I stop a random person to offer a deal and I have 2 strains in baggies, one will be like 101% success and the other will be 76%. So I have no idea why you are saying that it does not matter beyond the free sample step. It clearly does matter.

I don't sell my ♥♥♥♥ myself, I let distributors do that, and I have ZERO intel about whether they're getting full price, missing deals due to preferences, etc. So to me, it just seems optional.

Sure. You can play the game that way, never make sales yourself and still turn a daily profit. You're right, there's limited info on how the dealers operate. Aside from the 20% cut they take, the game is not explicit about all the other factors. The thing is, regardless of those factors, it's very easy to outproduce the selling capacity of your dealers. What then?

Worth noting, if you have a highly addictive product, you can list it at +50% its value, people will want it. You can even bargain to sell them 1 more, they ask for 2, offer 3 and set the price accordingly. You then set the deal to happen late night. Those deals do not expire unless you go to bed. You also get a nice +20% bonus because of the curfew.

So you can sell 8-10 items really fast in 3 deals at the end of the day, at 180% of the market price since the curfew bonus is multiplying the overcharge.

Or you could not do that. You'll still progress. To each their way.

Are y'all remembering to check the potential customer's standards? Even if the strain you made for them ticks all the boxes, the chance of acceptance will be lower if the strain you're offering them is below their level of quality standards.

I only offer top kuality kush homie.

But seriously, I only ever offered purple star from the second fertilizer was available, and gold star when drying racks were available.
The girl who turned me down with 75% was given a strain that hit all 3 of her desires, and was gold star. Just sayin'.

Interesting! Only time I had an issue was when it was below their standards but I guess I'm wrong. I wonder if the type of drug has something to do with their preference? Like maybe they prefer Sour Diesel over Kush? Or maybe they prefer meth? Some kind of hidden preference we don't have access to?
