HUGE Worker Bug - Taking Items, Not Working
As the title states I've encountered a massive issue after setting up an autonomous methlab. It was running fine for some time then randomly I noticed production stop. The issue(s):

-Mixers would have the ingredient 'locked' indicated it was being used
-I noticed a worker was emptying out an ingredient shelf (instead of taking 20) and then just not working after grabbing them all.
-I fired the employee and ended up having a chemist just bug out randomly after. They just stopped working and stood next to the mixers.
-I have tried things like removing and readding the mixers. Removing work tasks and reassigning them, firing employees.

Unfortunately nothing seems to work and my game is effectively broken because of it. I can try to fire everyone and just redo the entire layout of my barn and see if that helps but this is a very frustrating bug to run into after this many hours and I fear his latest update may have caused it.

Does anyone have any fixes? I've seen a couple other similar posts.

I just attempted to fix it one more time , my plan was fire any 'problem' workers including going scorched earth and firing and rehiring everyone if needed.

However, like 3 minutes into my reload after firing the first guy and watching a chemist who stopped working previously, my game / clip board bugged out and stopped working. It wouldnt let me select or deselect anything and seemed to be bugged out thinking something was selected.

Really getting worried my entire save is cooked now and the game only does one save file per game...

Yeah , I fear my game is so cooked and I'm done playing.

I fired problem employees (1 handler , 1 chemist)

The new chemist did one mix and immediately broke and is just standing still in front of the mixer like the previous chemist did.

I am currently having the same problem as u. My chemist is also standing still in front of the mixer, which happened to my previous chemist too. Did u find any workaround or is ur game still cooked?

I've had the same issue with my botanists in the bungalow - lost about $2500 of seeds and soil as they walked to the storage shelves, grabbed the items, and then walked back out in front. I figure I'll either continue without npc help or wait for an update. (The cleaner can stay, haven't had any problems with him.)

You can fix this by locating the workers inventory in the game files:

Close your game...

C:\Users\<Your User>\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\<Your Steam ID>\<Your Save>\Properties

Open the Property that is having issues and go to the Employees folder.

Find the problem employee by name. They will likely have an Inventory.json

Open the Inventory.json and remove everything in the Items so that the file only has this:

{
"Items": [
]
}

Start your game!

Thanks for this. I was having issues with my workers only grabbing a 12 item stacks instead of 20 and i had the thought that maybe they had random ♥♥♥♥ in their inventory and looks like they probably do.
