NPC respawn?

do NPC's respawn? i killed the weapons dealer when he attacked me and I am just wondering if he will respawn if so how long does it take? its been two days in game already and he hasn't yet.

he returned but now he is standing in one spot all day and night doesn't go back into the warehouse.

Go to sleep or save and then alt F4. That did it for me after getting into the game situation.. Why would you run at me with a knife after you sold me a gun XD

killed a worked and dragged his body into the water, he was seen afew mins later stuck in the door of the doctors office.
