Personnaly I play it solo because I like management games where you kinda build a money making machine. In the genre, it's one of the bests.

Honestly this game looks like it could be fun. I didn't watch any Youtuber play it, I just check early access games often and saw it.
It's cheap. It has co-op. It lets you grow a drug empire. It's apparently way better than Drug Simulator or any of the other similar titles.
So I can see why it's doing well.
It's obviously the work of a fan of Drug Dealer Simulator that was disappointed by the second game. The three games a really cool though. If you're looking for something fun-oriented, Schedule 1 is a good pick.
