door won't open

hi!

so bit of a problem, i bought the appartment above the chinees. spent 2 days in and out. now after reloading in the game i can exit, bbut can't reopen the door to get inside. sucks pretty bad.

somebody else got this??

My friend is having that same issue. We don't know what it is happening to his save either. Hopefully the devs see this!

i begon a new game and for the moment i don't have the issue

C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\
enter the folder with a long string of numbers.. Then go to:
SaveGame_#\Properties\Sweatshop\
open/edit the Property.json with notepad and check that owned is set to true:
"IsOwned": true,

Fingers crossed that solves it, else I think the dev is mostly active on discord so you might want to report the issue there.

Heeeelp, i have the same issue but when i opened it with notepad it was blank..what do you think i should do?

Try to use other code editor (VSC for example). Helped for me

Thanks so much! Im not very texh savvy but i will look into code editors. I just ended up buying the property again lol

Having the same issue. With the bungalow, can open from inside no option on outside though.

I tried finding that file and every file doesn’t have to words isowned and I’ve opened it with VSC and I’m not good with coding so hopefully the dev sees this discussion

Jokes aside, glad if you got it working with the json edit...


If the issue still persists, could it be the game somehow has the "cops are near!" "flag" falsely remaining ON somewhere? Since the door won't open if you're chased by cops and they're near the door when you try to go in.

If that is the case, it might be worth getting chased and lose the cops somewhere, then try... maybe? Idk, just spitballing honestly.

The only way that works is to type in the console "setowned sweatshop" for exemple, then the door will open
