Might be your monitor or tv, I was able to change resolution through options/video on the main screen

I found the fix. If you have 2560x1440p enabled as a custom resolution in NVIDIA Control Panel. You have to complete delete it from Control Panel.

do u have multiple displays? i fixed it by opening my laptop, changing the resolution, and then closing it to transfer the display to my monitor.
