Version Mismatch - Cannot Join Multiplayer
My spouse and I bought this game today excited to play together but cannot join each other's lobbies due to a 'version mismatch' error. We have tried verifying game file integrity and reinstalling but so far nothing has helped. Any suggestions to fix this?

Not sure I can help but if you check the properties of the game, neither of you have joined the beta? And you are both using the full game, not demo?
Would have expected verifying/reinstalling to have corrected the issue otherwise?

You can verify the version that you each have installed when you launch the game, under the title it shows the version number.
