Does demo progress carry over to full game

Im gonna buy the full game later today but does the progress from the demo carry over at all or would i have to restart all over?

they are saved in different folders in Apddata Locallow from what i remember

Well I did exacly as you said yet whenever I launch the full game the save is still not there. How do I fix this

copy the save folder into the '6587957806' long number folder in the regular game folder
