The whole "Streamers and tubers get entitlement over everyone else" is literally something that needs squashed.
When is it going to sink in for you armchair game developers that you don't know ♥♥♥♥?
If game devs had nothing to gain by giving early copies to content creators, they wouldn't do it. You know what a game dev is called if they don't take advantage of every opportunity to advertise their product? They're called stupid.
You can get special privileges when you can potentially bring in thousands more potential buyers.
So your response to someone who doesn't want anyone to get special privileges, is to tell them how to get special privileges? Very odd.
Also, if a streamer got the game on the day it released like everyone else, why would they not just be able to make their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ videos then?
Considering the flaws and gameplay loop, this might be one of those games that need more time to cook. It is a neat idea, but it has been done before. None of the plants even have a rare chance to give a seed. The police are not smart, so you can do all kinds of things without worrying about getting caught.
Jail should be a thing, a criminal record, and raids. I'm going to check in on it in a few months to see what they've done with it. Bad idea giving streamers early access because I would have saw this in my game queue.
It's a more logical response than expecting this to go away overnight because that's never going to happen, it's a proven fact that well marketed games sell more and game devs have been doing this since the days where to get info on games you had to buy a $12 magazine at Rite-Aid.
No game dev is going to ignore a method of marketing their product just because a handful of people are throwing a temper tantrum over not getting free copies.
It doesn't matter how they present the product, it only matters that they make people aware of the product, that's the entire point behind handing out pre-release copies to content creators.
And if they present the game as if it was flawless, so what? Are you not capable of doing your own research?
More time to cook...you know this is an early access game, right? The game that's getting released tomorrow is not a finished product.
Yeah, I don't buy it. Especially with the claim that his days off pay him $500. Just another internet liar is all.
