Schedule I

Schedule I

檢視統計資料:
Schedule 1 Getting Sued Already? That’s Just Wrong.
t’s honestly insane that Schedule 1, a brand new indie game, is already getting hit with lawsuits. Like, really? The game just launched, and instead of being celebrated for doing something fresh and creative, it’s being dragged into legal nonsense.

Schedule 1 brings something unique to the table—something different from the usual recycled AAA formulas. It’s raw, bold, and clearly made with passion. And now it’s under fire, probably because some big company didn’t like the “inspiration” or is trying to shut it down for looking too similar to something they think they own?

It’s such a shame. We constantly complain about how stale the gaming industry is, how everything feels the same… and then when something new finally drops, people try to kill it before it even has a chance to grow.

Let the devs cook. Let the players decide. Stop trying to kill off creativity with lawsuits. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it—but don’t ruin it for everyone else.

I must own a different GSS mine seems to be

DEVELOPER:
DRAGO entertainment
PUBLISHER:
DRAGO entertainment, HeartBeat Games

Seems they published the demo:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1528080/Gas_Station_Simulator_Prologue__Early_Days/

Maybe they used to publish the full game, and that's changed? I don't know.

No they aren't DDS published this recently:

Dear Gamers,

We’d like to address your Schedule I / Drug Dealer Simulator publication and share some facts regarding the situation.

1. There is no lawsuit.
2. It is not our intention to prevent TVGS from selling or developing their game.
3. There is an investigation into the nature of similarities between the games since a preliminary legal analysis indicated there might have been an infringement.
4. The analysis and investigation were necessary in the light of repeating opinions that the games are very similar. By not investigating it, Movie Games, being a publicly traded company, could face severe consequences for negligence.
5. The above was communicated only via ESPI, a stock market communication system, where we are obligated to publish such information for full transparency. Not publishing it would also be a case of negligence. From there it was picked up by the media and, in some cases, wrongly reported as a lawsuit.
6. The above is handled only by Movie Games, the publisher, not Byterunners, the developer of Drug Dealer Simulator. The developer is not involved in it whatsoever.

There is no ill will towards TVGS. We even mailed them best wishes shortly before the release, when the game was already huge, but before the investigation was deemed necessary. However, we are obligated to perform this investigation, act accordingly to the scope of the infringement if it is confirmed, and inform the public about it via ESPI.

Best wishes,
Movie Games
They are both games about making and selling drugs......not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ there will be some similarities.....(i know you just copied pasted btw this isn't directed at you lol)
FFS take one look at the graphics and that tells you enough about each game DDS is clearly trying to be a serious "this is how drug dealers act and live" type deal
Where S! is clearly a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke of a game.....ffs peoples heads light on fire if you give them something "spicy"....

According to the publisher of drug dealer simulator, Movie Games SA (more commonly known for their game, Gas station simulator), there is no lawsuit, and it is only an investigation that they are doing as a publicly traded company, in order to do their due diligence (prevent claims of negligence) (source: https://x.com/MovieGamesSA/status/1909573722219888913)

however their public trading announcement states that they have made the "Decision to commence an investigation against the creators of the production under the title Schedule 1 for claims regarding infringement of the Issuer's IP and related to committing an act of unfair competition against it." (https://espiebi.pap.pl/node/685216) (page is in polish, translated with google translate) and the official report comment states "The Management Board of Movie Games SA with its registered office in Warsaw ["Issuer" or "Company"] hereby announces to the public that today, i.e. on April 3, 2025, it received a legal analysis performed by a legal consultant, an expert in intellectual property and acts of unfair competition, which indicates that indications have been identified of a potential infringement of the Issuer's intellectual property rights and actions that may bear the characteristics of unfair competition." (https://espiebi.pap.pl/node/685216) (once again translated with google translate page translator)

the wording in their ESPI is very different from their announcement on twitter.

My Thoughts: it makes sense that they would do their due diligence for a game that is in the same genre, however there are statements that dont line up, considering that they say something along the lines of 'we were informed about potentially infringing material and have decided to launch an investigation' (this is not a quote just my interpretation of the information i read) on the release day of schedule one seem just a little suspicious.

however i think this investigation will not turn up anything that will significantly impact schedule 1 and im in complete support of tyler and his masterpiece

edit: forgot to mention that on the twitter post it states that this is an investigation by the publisher of Drug Dealer Simulator (Movie Games SA) and not by the developer of Drug Dealer Simulator (Byterunners)

NOTE: ANYTHING TRANSLATED FROM ANOTHER LANGUAGE WAS TRANSLATING USING GOOGLE TRANSLATE, INFORMATION MIGHT GET LOST, OR MISTRANSLATED
AS GOOGLE TRANSLATE IS NOT ALWAYS 100% ACCURATE

I must own a different GSS mine seems to be

imo this is all just nonsense and bs, i look at it this way DDS came out first yes but how els would you make a game where you grow and sell narcotics, are we supposed to be satisfied with one game? its like if Forza sued need for speed, or any other racing game. there practically about the same things you race cars, upgrade your cars, and race them some more its the exact same ♥♥♥♥ in a different style, another example would be any battle royal game, DDS and S1 are no different there a game about doing the same thing of course there is going to be similarities that does not mean S1 ripped off DDS

exactly now thats the community i like to see
I don't know much about this, but it's ludicrous that anyone would try to levy a lawsuit against a developer for making a game about dealing drugs. I'm willing to bet even the ones doing this aren't the first to make such a game.

Sorry but they seem very different to me. DDS seems to be trying to take itself seriously, and this game is pure comedy.

This.

Schedule 1 is like combining animal crossing with gta

That's not the vibe I got from dds

It's not being sued, people are saying that it is because they don't believe what the other company has said.

With good reason too. The other company has lied to it's player base since day 1. They're as corrupt as you can get and now they're expecting us to believe there's no lawsuit despite them investigating a game that not only rivals but is better than their game.

1. Fake trailer for the first game, which showed guns, raids, pool parties.
2. Promising features and then acting like they never promised those features [fake roadmap]
3. Promising a continuation of the story but then never giving us the continuation.
4. Kept updating us with useless things, ie "look at this feature" then it'd take a year sometimes longer for it to make its way into the game.

now they're claiming there's no lawsuit... I'm not buying it.
