You can continue to use the beta save when the new version hits public. What you can't do is downgrade. Meaning make a save point on the beta and then revert back to the current public release. That may or may not break your save.
progress is soft lock to beta. good chance of corrupting saves when switching between branches since some content/models etc and logic will be loaded and unloaded/overwritten depending on w.e version of the main branch or beta you are downloading.

Depends on how saves are impacted. Some games have such extensive changes from patch to patch that progress is lost. If it's a major concern, you may want to hold off. Otherwise, enjoy the early access.

it differs really you can "downgrade" based on how the games uploads data etc. in terms of this game.

major changes like logic and anything engine based will almost always break your save, and thats from huge logic to basic npcs and mechanics making calls.

models in most cases will usually not break your save youll just lack the ability to interact with them. and it might cause phasing on other clients.

ive already experienced these things switching multiple times from beta to MB
