Am I missing something?
Yeah the game is fun and its funny... but

Its literally just drag and drop, click stuff, and then accept silly little easter egg hunt messages to find someone around the map and deliver them the goods before time runs out... It just seems super super repetitive and dry? Is there something I am missing?

No. It just sounds like this game may not be your cup of tea.
THIS GUY IS NEUROTICAL! EVERYONE POINT AND LAUGH

Real response: It's more so satisfying with experimenting with different combinations, skating around town, and improving efficiency. Plus the vibes are immaculate.
I've done days where I unlist my products ( so I'm not bothered ) skate around trying to get on top of as many "impossible" places as possible .. just being a dude.
If you just do the mixes, packing and selling it will become very repetitive and boring .. it's up to you to make the most out of it as you see fit. I just wish there were fishing in the game :)

Welcome to nearly every simulation game out there. If you don't enjoy it, stop playing.

every game is like that - click and drag. I think you can sue any game developer because they are using this functionality (sarcasm here).

but if serious, on top of what you have said..
1) you are missing business/property management, machinery purchases and building, I think EA can sue developer as it is similar to Sims game (sarcasm here #2).
2) you can drive vehicles, skate, and simply chill running around stuffed with "products" affected by different effects..
3) you can build your empire.
4) you can play with other players

as for repetitive, every game is repetitive, it is called loop, every game developer can be sued for that (sarcasm #3).

Yeah, its more like a tycoon game. something to vibe out to when you dont want to work your brain.

For example the game satisfactory, a lot of players wanted pvp so it would be like rust but with factory building, This would bring the action to the game but the devs said no because that is not the type of game that there trying to make and would ruin the chill vibes.

Sometimes its nice to sit back and relax, not all games have to be go go go action every second.
The best part was the unknown progression but once u see it once, it becomes boring. All the businesses are for laundering, thats lame. The buildings are featureless grow receptacles. It has very good bones though and i doubt ill regret my purchase. ill just pick it up again in a few months or years
That's what the current game is, yes! in the future there will be more things to do, such as fighting other cartels: https://trello.com/b/VQQpru3F/schedule-i-roadmap
I missed how to split stacks so I don't give customer everything.

On topic, I heard it does get more interesting if that's part of the issue.
As it stands game starts to get a bit repetitive at ~30 hours. Gets gindy at ~50. But . . . set it down and come back a bit later and it is probably fun again. The dude just became filthy rich, and he is also sitting on top of a gold mine, so if he has any ambition and common sense (which I suspect he does, given the game itself) he'll continue working on this for a year or two or more and the game will expand in line with his projections. In a year or two it will likely be a more rich and textured experience.

Do you like business or tycoon games? If not, this is probably not the type of game for you.

The enjoyment people get from this is expanding operations to get more money to buy more equipment, to get better product, to sell and get more money, to expand ops etc. That's the gameplay loop and if you don't like that type of game it's not for you.

There is some fun to be had if you like experimenting with the mixing system to see what type of drugs you can make as well if you are into that.

The main reward of this game is "watch small number get bigger". It's pretty grind-heavy, but most games where you watch numbers get bigger usually are. That said, there's a bit more to it than that as you can experiment with different mixes to see what kinds of effects you can produce and how much money you can make from them, and you don't have to go on the Easter egg hunt yourself, you can hire dealers. The game is remarkably open-ended as far as how you want to play it. If you'd rather deal than mix, you can hire helpers to do that. If you'd rather mix than deal, you can leave that up to your dealers. Personally, nowadays I let my helpers run all the growing and production and mixing while I just decide what I want to make by changing up what's on the input shelves for my mixers and I just order product, stock the shelves, clean up the place when my workers make a mess, package my product, then load it all into a big white van and drive it to my dealers, collect cash, manage my money and employees and make sure everyone gets paid, and repeat.

As others have said, it's basically a tycoon game and typically those are somewhat grind-heavy. That said, it's pretty well balanced IMO and the grind isn't too extreme for the rewards. I've certainly seen far worse grinds in this style of game and others. But I can see how it might not be for everyone as there have been points where I've been sitting around watching YouTube for the better part of half an hour while I wait for my employees to do things and deliveries to arrive. I'd love a few more minigames, maybe some better games for the TV or a full on arcade some day, but there's also the casino for a distraction from the grind, and you can make money that way.
