My anecdotal observations from selling Green Crack MJ + Viagra ("Aspen Death" in my playthrough, which has 100% addictiveness): It seems that each NPC customer has slightly different values for something like "Inherent Appetite," "Addicted Appetite Expansion," and "Monetary Constraint."
I got to a point about early mid-gamish (had the Bungalow set up with some employees but still just growing and mixing weed) where I had about 35 or 40 customers. I had Aspen Death listed for about $75, but I was always counter-offering to get it up to $100 per gram. Heavy consumers like Jessi were offering even more than that. But some customers didn't seem to be able to afford the '5 gram at $100/gram" minimum. They would turn down the counter-offer, but then they would come find me later in the night and demand something to get their fix. Had to beat down a couple of them. When they do this they will ask for it at the "recommended" price which I think is maybe $51 for that mix? If you try to jack up the price too much they will refuse and in some cases pull out a shiv and try to kill you.
So yeah: addiction does some stuff
