Customers texting you and expecting a response within a certain time frame takes away from the fun. You're always stopping to quickly accept a deal on text every time it comes through. If these requests could be handled on the players time instead of at random there would be less distraction from the actual game.

Who knows, maybe at a certain point it could just be an upgrade to have a "Drug App" that customers can send requests to instead of blowing up your phone all day.

***IF*** This is added I feel like the only way that it would mechanically make sense is if the addiction mechanic had a lot more depth and you had to get your customers absolutely devastatingly dependent on you to wait around all day if you leave them standing on the street till 4AM.

Also, you know that you can always just schedule the pickup for "Late Night" and it will hold all the deliveries because they only expire if you go to bed or get pinched.
