Battle of Empires : 1914-1918

GALLIPOLI
Maybe someday soon, we can hope. Starting out on the Western and Eastern Fronts is a natural
for an Alpha like this one, yet in time, it would be a truly complete series to explore the Dardanelles and perhaps even Mesopotamian campaigns against Johnny Turk. Action in such a campaign could be split between the landings and fighting at ANZAC Cove and Lone Pine Ridge, and Allenbys thrust into Jerusalem and Damascus alongide of Lawrence [ of Arabia ].

''Never come back no more boys,
never come back no more.
The camp is becoming a bore boys,
it's becoming a terrible bore.
Shut up the old shop windows,
place a sign to hang over the door,
we're packing our kits,
for the jolly old Ritz,
and we won't come back no more''.............

Version of Rudyard Kiplings ''The Light That Failed''.
British 13th Division, Near Kut Iraq, April, 1916.

As an Australia i like the great war 1981 (a CoH 1 mod) for you can chagne your inftrany skin to ANZAC, Highlanders or portuguese exeditionary force.

While having a theatre where ANZAC's forught would be great i'd settle for a skin option.
Any Dardanelles campaign theater map would be dramatically differant than a Western Front one. Trapped against the sea to one side, with high ridges of a mostly high desert terrain with scrub pine trees, trenches were carved into the sides of cliffs, much like the Italian Campaign, which is itself, still ANOTHER map that can be created by the devs using the 12 Battles of the Isanzo River and valley against the Austrians that would get the Alps in there as well. The thing about this war, as in WWII, is that there are alot of map and skin options.
