I wonder if one day they might do a remake from 1 like the Tomb Raider remake but in the graphic novel noir style
I have to finish it before going to the fifth. Back to the good old 2D :)
Broken Sword 3 was not the best, but it was a good game. The control took some time to get used to, but once you get used to them, they work well. Being able to control the character in all ways without having to move from keyboard or mouse is a blessing. In 1+2 it's all mouse, in 3 it's all keyboard, in 4 you use the keys to move, then clumsily switch to the mouse to try and click on stuff. Some people hated the crate-moving in BS3, I happened to like it. It's different, it adds a kind of action-game element to an otherwise classic adventure game, it doesn't make a worse game, just a different game. And it still felt like a BS game despite the swtich to 3D. And somehow the 3D in BS3 worked better than in BS4, where characters often get stuck, there are often glitches, it just generally looks worse in BS4.
I totally agree... I got the section with the Knight statues and had to eventually use a guide... which I have done in other B.Sword games, and your right, in the other games if I used a guide I would be like "Oh, I should have got that." or "Now I see what I did wrong"... I still don't get the some of the puzzles and really don't want to anymore, Just wanna get to the end credits so will use the walkthru.
ANYWAY... I really liked Broken Sword 3, It was quite nice to see a point and click game with 3d graphics... 1 and 2 are still the best but, i liked it.
One last thing, Anna Marie is a bland character, her and georges romance falls FLAT!
That’s just demonstrably false. Certainly too many for how time-consumingly tedious they are, sure, especially the last two seemed excessive, but still a minority of the puzzle count.
No, they weren’t.
Who the heck plays Tomb Raider and thinks its defining trait is block puzzles? It’s like claiming that any work of fiction mentioning Ramadan is shamelessly ripping off Moby D!ck, because that book was all Queequeg all the time and invented the concept of Islam. Just stupid. Besides, moving blocks around is much more tedious in TR.
the first game is really a masterpiece,
the second one isn't that great,
the third isn't that bad,
and this fourth is quite terrible.
