Hi rubish 1, the Trade Conquest demo allows you to test the military mechanics of the game but you do have a limited amount of time to play during the demo so it might be tough to test in depth right now (but it is possible). The game developer has a discord that you can join if you want more in depth explanations of game mechanics, you can also watch the steam broadcast from the developer that explains a lot about the game.
Yes there are multiple types of military units and you can research tech that allows you to build them, but you can also buy them on the markets. The military is split into armies and you can manually move them or command them to attack a target or you can toggle an automated mode if you don't want to manually control them.

Hello Rubish1

Unaimed Player's explanation is on point.
I will simply add that I will be doing livestreams of the game on Steam through the fest at different times, and when I'm worn out, will have a video that gives some general economics information.
If you see me on camera, anyone is welcome to ask me questions on the chat, or can do so on discord.
Thank you for your interest in Trade Conquest! As it gets closer towards release, I will be doing other videos regarding the latter part of the game if other streamers have not gotten to it by then.
