Cast a creature spell with converted mana cost 7 or more by your fourth turn
How is this possible?
Turn 1 - One land, nothing to play
Turn 2 - Two land, play the green X spell for 1 to hopefully hit a land for a total of 3 land
Turn 3 - Four land, play the X spell again for 2 and pray to make it to 6 land
Turn 4 - Seven land, play big fatty

Is this the only way to do it right now? You need some ridiculous luck to ever pull this off. ._.

Ah, I'm not a pro player, but if I remember right, one way to do this is to put a creature directly into play without paying it's mana-cost. Say, you discard that big fatty into graveyard, then raise it from the grave with a spell. That already takes less then 7 mana to do and I'm sure there are more ways.

But doing graveyard shenanigans means you aren't casting the creature itself so it wouldn't trigger the unlock conditions. :(

30 lands(no tapped land), all copies of animist's awakaning, a a lot of 1 mana spell, all ramp spells (only 2 other I think), and and the rest in 7 drop and a lot of retries and luck.

I'd tried without animist's awakening, I succeeded turn 5. But it don't seem possible without it.

edit : green/red seems the way to go, lots of 1mana red spells

2 Animist's Awakening, 1 Gaea's Revenge, 57 land. Mulligan until you have all three spells in hand. >.>

You can only have 30 lands in the deck, too bad.
Ashcarr Aug 4, 2015 @ 10:53am
Yeah, gross. I just tried that and it was like "Invalid deck". Too bad. :(

Im trying this now, and thats pretty much the conclusion I came to as well, shame I only have 1 Animist though :(
T1 land (1)

T2 land Animist 1 hit (3)

T3 land Animist 3 hit (6-7)

T4 land (if on 6) play dude.

or

T1 land (1) Fog or another 1 manna instant
T2 land, Telling Time(2)
T3 land, Animist's Awakening hit 2, Animist's Awaking hit 1 (6)
T4 land, 7 cost creature

7 cost creature:
Gaea's Revang (5)(G)(G)
Alhammered, High Arbiter (5)(U)(U)
Axebane Stag (6)(G)

If 30 lands is a limit...

That means deck should be something like
12 x Island
18 x Forest
4 x Axebane Stag
3 x Telling Time
? x Gaea's Revang (1-4)
? x Alhammered, High Arbiter (1-4)
? x Animist's Awakening (2-4)

1 cost instant

4 x Fog

rather less possible but.. opponent needs to start and have (2 manna cost creature) or you start (and he has 1 manna creature) [hint: target his creatures]

3 x Primal Bellow
? x Might of the masses (1-4)

Cards (49-60) / 60

Rest of the hand take some random instant don't care about color, maybe opponent makes you discard them... the "?" is couse I don't know max numer of card you can have.

You are supposed to cast the creature spell, not to put the creature into play.

There's 7 mana-cost spells too (nissa vision or something like that), it should work too.

But i'll stay on my idea on red-green, the most 1 cost spell possible, the 3 ramp spells in max exemplary, and the rest in 7 drop. 7 7-drop may be too much.

Bonus if you find an aggro adversary to launch tintan's strengh on their 1 drop turn 1.

Edit : bonus for nissa too? probably

Nissana revelation? it's 7 manna cost spell but it's not creature

red-green deck is worst then blue-green

The only ramp spell you can use it's Animist's Awakening there aren't any 2 mana cost ramp spells or i didn't notice them. (or did you mean that there are only 3 Animist's Awakening)

Time telling let's you cycle 3 cards (1 hand 1 top 1 bottom) to find Animist's Awakening

Yeah I have gone through the entire collection of cards(including ones I don't yet have), and the only way I see it working is with Animist's, now if we had some of the previous sets, it might be possible in other ways...its likely one achievement I wont be getting for awhile

The red would be to activate the spell mastery of animist awakening sooner and more reliabely.
So you can use gatecreeper vine the same turn, so you can keep a starting hand with few lands, or Mwonvuli acid-moss.

It's sure it's not the best ramp in the world, but I find it better than the telling time drawing/crying.

Remamber that you have 30 lands, for sure you will be mana flooded. Gatecreeper makes you draw only 1 land and it's puting it in your hand compare to telling time it's 2 cards remove (hand and bottom) + 1 card move to top.

You won't be able to play Mwonvuli acid-moss the only turn you could play him is turn 3 (in turn 3 you can have max 4 mana) using him will procede you to turn 4 with 6 mana.

Gatecreeper it's not ramp, he is rather mana fixer.
