Magic Duels
Why no love for Mac users?
Hello Wizards, I have been a fan of your duels games for some time now. The only problem is I have a Mac. Once hearing that Magic duels 2015 would bring a 'build your own deck' feature I knew I had to get it. Sadly with bootcamp, installing a Windows processor on a mac seems to pose problems with running your games. Mouse calibration doesn't work and you need to play the game entirely through Keyboard commands such as the arrow keys, pressing tab and the space bar.

I was able to get by in Magic 2015 fairly easily by adapting this and thought little of it.

Come this year and I was extremely excited for this installment of Magic Duels Origins. However for some reason this installment requires a mouse to continue, (at least for me) and as mentioned before, a mac running Windows does not allow for a smooth game and mouses never work.
So all in all, I cannot enjoy this game to its fullest ability, which is a shame because I had such high hopes for it.

However the biggest slap to the face is that this game is availbe for the later versions of the Iphone and the IPad. My biggest question is why hasn't this game been made as an app for Mac users?

I'm sure there is a good reason, it is just odd and disapointing that portable Microsoft devices are able to run a game that my Computer cannot.

I have little faith that my current issues with Magic Duels Origins will be fixed or that a version will be released for Mac computers, which is disapointing because I would have really enjoyed playing this game, I just wanted to let you know of a problem you may have not been aware of.

I just assumed it worked for mac before pc x(

Give them like a month for them to get some money they strongly will incline to get the mac version out. They need that money for coding transfers and all that legal BS.

Its ur reward for being hipster
Maybe because Windows is a much larger userbase than Mac?
With all the various problems, just be thankful it's not available yet for Mac.
I personally run a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), and also am running Bootcamp (recently upgraded to Windows 10), and I don't have any issues with mice or any other calibration etc.

Are you sure you have all the required bootcamp drivers installed etc?

because Mac's are not meant for gaming, go get a real computer and stop trying to game with your work / school internet browser.
Well, hearthstone and all blizzard games are on mac so I dont think a small userbase is the real problem.
they don't support android either, go figure, but like the others said, count yourself lucky, this one's not worth the trouble right now.
If you want to game, don't buy a Mac, that simple.

Exactly what I was going to say. Mac's are made more for working on projects. Music, art, w,e.

Not what you want to have when wanting to play games. Also more expensive for less power.
Sorry, but the answer here is: laziness. In this day and age, with the number of available cross-platform game engines, developers have every tool imaginable to support multiple platforms from day one with minimum overhead. If they don't do it, it's because they 1) chose to use a proprietary game engine that will be difficult to maintain if they choose to go multi-platform or 2) they just chose not to bother with it at all. While some people and studios keep saying things like "just support Windows because it's the most popular OS" or "Macs are not for gaming", studios like Blizzard are making a few more hundreds of thousands of dollars on this platform (with vastly superior games, I might add). So, yeah, Macs have *hundreds* of available games on Steam, but unfortunately you can't play this particular one. Like my grandma always said: "only support devs that support you".

This isnt really classified as a game to me. Sure, its a game but its not Call of Duty. Its a card game. Absolutely no reason for this not to be available on Mac.
