Unless you're actually interested in the story or lore of Magic:the Gathering; this is mostly a waste of time. Yes, there are some cards that are available digitally that do not exist in real life, and these can be fun, however: a serious MTG player would be wise to avoid this game alltogether. The base image pack is a torrent and can be tricky to install for a novice, but a simple youtube search will provide several tutorials.
All that said: I did give this game a try today and found it to be satisfactory and functional, aside from the occasional freeze and the complete lack of online connectivity (day 1). Weeks of playing (or cash traded for coins) would be required to get all the rares and mythic rares you need to make a deck that would be competitive in real life. I used OCGTN to build decks that can win tournaments in real life and then tweak them to my liking FOR FREE. Once I am satisfied, I then build the deck in real life. My favorite standard deck cost about 40 dollars and won me hundreds of dollars worth of booster packs. This would not have been possible without access to every card. Only OCTGN can provide this. However: if you have never played Magic: the Gathering, this game is perfect. It will teach you the basics, and I would highly reccomend that you learn the ropes with this game before trying OCTGN.
