I am having less success with it than with other easier decks such as a B/R (Rakdos) sacrifice, as it is indeed very easy to counter, and has little to none synergy.
The funny thing is that the deck has great synergies but i never seen a GW deck using them
Battlefront Krushok + Patron of Valiant + two or three creatures with Renown is a terrific combo
Herald of the Pantheon is a gread card if you're going to use all those Enchantment
Valeron Wardens can speed up your deck a LOT
White has cards like Tragic Arrogance and Green has Evolutionary Leap
And so on
but the only GW deck i see around are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2/1 creatures with nimbus wing.
I'm not a good player in any stretch of mind though. I should consider improving it.
Maybe adding a third color, in order to increase control ? Like the "Destroy 3 power creature" black card ? I have never played 3 colors decks, so I don't know how it would go.
The problem of the 3rd color splashing is that it slow you down because you need a lot of dual lands. But for this purpose gatekeeper vine helps you to tempo and be reliable.
To be fair, most of the cards you listed are uncommon or rare. Perhaps you have just recently been matched up with a lot of players who haven't acquired that many cards yet. Not to dismiss your overall point, which is legitimate, but it's a possibility.
Removal is hard to come by in those colors, so it is a somewhat straightforward deck, but there are still important choices to make while playing. The subgame of figuring out how to trigger all my renown creatures keeps things interesting.
It can be a challenge to get the cards you need. For a while I couldn't get even a single copy of Wild Instincts, which left me with trying to trick them into a bad block for removal options. It's getting better now though.
Sounds like bad GW decks to me. Probably not enough renown critters.
And yeah, solo games vs the AI are usually a joke. I go two games in a row sometimes without the AI casting a relevant spell.
Sidenote for #4: Gatekeeper Vine is not tempo. It's completely opposite of anything we could call tempo. Maybe you meant card advantage?
